For the first time in the STARPHONIC series, Tama has equipped the PCP147 with a copper shell, giving the snare drum its characteristically warm, complex, and powerful sound. The combination of a dark fundamental tone, sensitive response, and controlled overtones makes this snare extremely versatile – from jazz and funk to rock, pop, and modern studio productions.
The specially designed grooved hoops promote an open resonance while simultaneously improving tuning stability. The innovative Freedom Lugs allow for particularly quick head changes and reduce contact between the tension lugs and the shell, thus optimally preserving the natural sound of the copper.
